More Information

Tree reports can be confusing when you’re not sure what information you need or what a council, planner or development application requires. We make the process straightforward. Our assessments look at the trees, the site and the circumstances around them, then provide the information you need to make informed decisions.

Our arboricultural services include:

Preliminary Tree Assessments

A practical assessment of a tree’s overall condition, including its health, structural integrity, retention value and potential hazards. This is useful when you need an initial understanding of a tree before deciding on the next steps.

Arboricultural Impact Assessments

Planning a development near existing trees? An Arboricultural Impact Assessment (AIA) identifies how proposed works may affect trees and provides information to support planning and design decisions. We can assess potential impacts and provide recommendations around Nominal Root Zones (formerly Tree Protection Zones) and appropriate tree protection measures.

Tree Management Plans

Trees need to be properly managed throughout the development process. We prepare Tree Management Plans that establish practical protection and management measures in accordance with AS 4970–2025 – Protection of Trees on Development Sites. The aim is to protect tree health, structural stability and long-term viability while helping minimise impacts during construction.

Tree Health & Risk Assessments

Concerned about a tree’s health or safety? We assess trees for signs of defects, disease, pests and environmental or soil-related constraints, as well as factors that may affect structural stability.Where appropriate, we assess the likelihood and potential consequences of tree failure and provide practical recommendations to help manage identified risks.

Tree Inventories & Large-Scale Risk Assessments

For larger properties, developments, streetscapes or managed tree populations, we can undertake systematic tree inventories and risk assessments. This provides a clear picture of the trees across a site or portfolio and helps identify priorities for ongoing management.
